V. O. Chidambaranar (VOC) Port handled 136,656 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of containers during April-May period of FY 2025-26, an increase of 3.52 per cent. The port recorded 132,007 TEUs of containers during the corresponding period of FY 2024-25.
This growth in container handling highlights the port’s continued focus on enhancing operational efficiency, upgrading infrastructure, and reinforcing its position as a key gateway for international maritime trade.
