Power generation recorded a compound annual growth rate of 5.67 per cent to reach 1,102,140 MUs in 2015-16 from 670,654 MUs in 2006-07. Thermal generation accounted for 85.6 per cent of the total in 2015-16, while hydro accounted for 11 per cent.
