Construction work under phase 1 for strengthening of tertiary treated (TT) water supply system (WSS) has commenced in Chandigarh. In the first phase, water lines will be laid in the industrial areas and some parts of Manimajra.
The scope of the project includes strengthening of T.T. WSS and laying of 150 km long T.T. water lines in left-out areas of Chandigarh to supply TT water under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation 2.0. The work is likely to be completed in 18 months.
