Construction of Kairana sewerage I&D and STP project gets completed

The construction work on the Kairana sewerage interception and diversion (I&D) and sewage treatment plant (STP) project has been completed. However, the operations have not commenced due to lack of electricity. The scope of the project involved the development of a 10 million litres per day (mld) STP at a cost of Rs 786 million on a design, build, operate and transfer basis under public-private partnership (PPP) mode under the Namami Gange programme.
