ATGL introduces pilot project for green hydrogen blending

Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) and Total Energies has unveiled a pilot project for green hydrogen blending in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. ATGL will utilise novel technologies to combine green hydrogen with natural gas, catering to more than 4,000 residential and commercial customers in the state. Furthermore, the proportion of green hydrogen in the blend will be raised to 8 per cent or more, contingent on regulatory approvals. The project is anticipated to be operational by the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024-2025. Following the successful completion of the pilot phase, the hydrogen-blended fuel will be systematically distributed to other areas of the city and additional license regions of AGTL.
