NTPC Limited has announced the commercial operation of Unit 2 (800 MW) of Patratu Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) Phase-I (3×800 MW) of its subsidiary, Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL), with effect from June 25, 2026.
With the commissioning of the unit, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group has increased to 90,857 MW, while its commercial capacity now stands at 89,777 MW.
