Trichy International Airport’s new terminal project has received the International Safety Award from the British Safety Council. It is awarded in the first-class merit category. On May 10, 2023, ITD Cementation Limited the company that has been engaged in the construction of the new terminal building has received the award. The terminal building has been constructed as per the standards of Green Rating for Integrated Habit Assessment, through which the design maximises the use of natural light within the building along with incorporating renewable energy measures.
