The Board of Directors of VA Tech Wabag Limited has granted approval for executing a shareholder’s agreement with Kopri Bio Engineering Private Limited (Kopri Bio) and A K Electrical and Works Private Limited for the development of a water treatment plant (WTP) at Kopri in East Thane, Maharashtra on May 7, 2024.
The scope of work includes the development of a 120 million litres per day WTP on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis.
Kopri Bio is a special purpose vehicle formed for the execution of the project, in which VA Tech Wabag Limited and A K Electrical and Works Private Limited have equity holdings of 51 and 49 per cent, respectively.
