The flyover connecting University Campus Square to RTO Square on Amravati Road in Nagpur, Maharashtra has been 50 per cent completed, with civil works finished along approximately 1.5 km of the proposed 2.85 km length. This project, part of the Rs 4.78 billion Amravati Road traffic improvement initiative by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), aims to alleviate congestion on this busy route.
Of the 57 segment erections needed for the RTO flyover, 33 (57 per cent) are completed, with 24 remaining. Initially set for completion by March 2024, the deadline has been extended to February 28, 2025.
The NH division is utilising Malaysian technology to construct the span between Ravi Nagar Square and Law College Square, employing ultra-high-performance fiber-reinforced concrete instead of traditional reinforcement concrete. Additionally, another flyover from Wadi Naka to Ambajhari Ordnance Factory Gate Number 1 is nearing completion.
