CONCOR commences DPD container service for Jawaharlal Nehru port in Maharashtra

The Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) has commenced the direct port delivery (DPD) container service for Jawaharlal Nehru port in Maharashtra. This service will reduce costs and the overall dwell time of freight, as import containers will be delivered directly to pre-approved clients at the port instead of waiting in a container freight station (CFS) for clearances.

Additionally, CONCOR, in partnership with Gateway Terminals India (GTI) and PSA BDP, has commenced operations of two rakes in May 2024. These rakes will transport freight for Sabic Innovative Plastics India Private Limited from the rail siding of Gateway Terminals India, situated at Jawaharlal Nehru port in Nhava Sheva, to Gujarat’s Varnama Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Vadodara and then back to Sabic’s plant.
