BPCL upgrades its bunkering facility at Marine Oil Terminal, Mumbai

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has upgraded its bunkering facility with five jetties that can now pump oil into ships from pipelines at the Marine Oil Terminal on Butcher Island, off the east coast of Mumbai. BPCL is the largest supplier of bunkering oil contributing to around 60 per cent of the volume at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) and Mumbai port. The demand from the two other harbours near the city stands at around 400,000 metric tonnes (mt) annually.
