The Telecom Commission has approved a new category of unified license which will allow virtual network operators (VNOs) to function in the Indian telecom industry. A VNO licence will cost Rs 75 million for those operators who want to offer all telecom services. For others, the fee will range from Rs 150,000 for national-level internet services to Rs 12.5 million for a long distance telecom licence.
