NCLAT gives its go ahead to NCLT for deciding on APSEZL’s bid for DPL

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has given its go-ahead to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai, to decide on Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited’s (APSEZL) bid to buy Dighi Port Limited (DPL). However, the final decision will be subject to NCLAT approval. As per the plan submitted by APSEZL, the port operator is willing to pay Rs 6.5 billion to DPL’s financial creditors. NCLT has reserved its decision over an application submitted by the resolution professional of DPL for approval of APSEZL’s Rs 6.5 billion bid.
