Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has received a letter of intent (LoI) to establish the 765 kV GIS Pune West intrastate transmission system in Maharashtra on a build, own, operate and transfer basis. POWERGRID was declared the successful bidder under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route after quoting annual transmission charges of Rs 1,995.5 million.
The project involves establishment of a new 765/400 kV GIS Pune west substation, along with construction of 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines and associated bays across Maharashtra.
