BMK Private Limited has won a contract worth Rs 493.48 million for the implementation of the Lumding Town Water Supply Scheme (Phase I and II) in Assam under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0. Bids for the same were invited by the Urban Development Department, Assam in November 2024.
The scope of work includes construction of a 2.8 million litres per day (mld) water treatment plant (WTP), clear water pumping machinery, pumping main, overhead service reservoir, clear water transmission and around 39.7 km long distribution network and other related works including five years of operation and maintenance (O&M).
The work is likely to be completed in two years.
