DP World Cochin’s International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) achieved its highest-ever monthly throughput in August 2026, handling 97,952 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), a 51 per cent year-on-year increase. The record follows strong volumes of 74,644 TEUs in June 2026 and 74,585 TEUs in July 2026, highlighting sustained growth at the terminal. During June-August 2026, ICTT also accommodated 51 additional vessel calls, demonstrating its capacity to handle increased traffic amid changing global shipping patterns. For 2026–27, the terminal’s throughput has grown 19 per cent year-on-year so far. DP World has also developed Kerala’s first free trade warehousing zone at Cochin, co-located with the port, supporting storage, consolidation and distribution.
