The Ministry of Railways has approved final location survey (FLS) for the Nashik-Dahanu new rail line project, Tata Marshalling Yard-Badampahar new rail line project, Mahuda-Gomoh rail line doubling project, Jakpur-Benapur bypass rail doubling project and Rupsa rail flyover project.
Nashik-Dahanu new rail line project involves laying a 100 km new rail line from Nashik to Dahanu via Trimbakeshwar and Vangaon in Maharashtra.
Mahuda-Gomoh rail line doubling project involves doubling of the existing 22.4 km rail line from Mohuda in Odisha to Gomoh in Jharkhand.
Tata Marshalling Yard-Badampahar new rail line project involves laying a new 5 km long rail line from Tata Marshalling Yard in Jharkhand to Tata Badampahar in Odisha.
Jakpur-Benapur bypass rail doubling project involves doubling of an 11 km long existing rail line avoiding Kharagpur and Nimpura yard with flyover at Benapur and Jakpur in down direction to avoid surface crossing in West Bengal.
Rupsa rail flyover project involves construction of a 35 km long rail flyover at Rupsa for connecting Kharagpur to Bangriposi and Bangriposi to Bhadrak to avoid surface crossing in Odisha.
