New terminal building at Halwara Airport in Ludhiana witnesses inauguration

The new terminal building at Halwara Airport in Ludhiana, Punjab, was inaugurated on February 1, 2026.

The terminal spans 2,000 square metres, along with apron and other supporting infrastructure, and has been developed at a cost of Rs 546.7 million. It has a peak-hour capacity of about 300 passengers and an annual handling capacity of up to 0.2 million passengers per annum.

The project aims to strengthen regional connectivity, bring opportunities closer across the state and benefit Ludhiana and the surrounding industrial and agricultural hinterland.
