Commercial operations satarted on Jaipur-Ringus section of the Jaipur-Ringus-Churu-Sikar-Loharu railway gauge conversion project

Commercial operations on the Jaipur-Ringas  section of the Jaipur-Ringas-Churu-Sikar-Loharu railway gauge conversion project commenced on October 21, 2019. The project involves conversion of a 320.04 km railway line between Jaipur (Rajasthan) and Loharu (Haryana) from metre gauge to broad gauge at an investment of Rs 11.16 billion. It is expected to facilitate faster passenger movement and cater to the people of Loharu, Chirawa, Jhunjhunu and Sikar and provide connectivity to Mount Abu, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Mumbai from these regions.
