MoCA releases a draft NASP to leverage India’s potential for air sports

The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has released the draft National Air Sp­orts Policy (NASP) to leverage India’s potential in air sports, given its lar­ge geographical expanse, diverse topography and fair-weather conditions. The draft NASP 2022 covers sports such as aerobatics, aeromodelling, ballooning, drones, gliding, hang gliding, paragliding and skydiving. An Air Spo­rts Federation of India will be established as the apex governing body. The draft policy is available on the MoCA website and suggestions regarding it can be sent by 5 p.m. on January 31, 2022.
