First containerised movement from Haldia to Pangaon through NW-1 commenced

The maiden containerised movement from Haldia to Pangaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh, through National Waterway-1 and the Indo-Bangladesh protocol route commenced from the Haldia international container terminal on June 30, 2020. The vessel, M.V. Pruthvi, operated by Adani Logistics Limited, loaded 45×20 foot laden containers for Pangaon. Sponge iron of Rashmi Cement Limited was shipped in the containers. The estimated duration of the voyage is eight days.
