The Ministry of Railways (MoR) sanctioned the Sherghati-Kajree New Broad Gauge Line Project.
The total estimated cost of the project is Rs 26.27 billion which includes Rs 23.99 billion by the civil engineering department, Rs 1.04 billion by Signalling and Telecommunication (S&T), and Rs 1.23 billion by the electrical department under the East Central Railway (ECR).
The project involves development of a 107.89 km long new Broad Gauge (BG) railway line from Sherghati in Bihar to Kajree in Jharkhand at an expected investment of Rs 26.27 billion under the ECR zone.
