PTC India appointed as MoP’s 2,500 MW power procurement scheme

PTC India Limited has been selected as the aggregator for the MoP’s 2,500 MW power procurement scheme Phase II. Under the scheme, medium-term power purchase agreements (three years) will be signed with stressed TPPs. PFC Consulting Limited, which is the nodal agency for this scheme, conducted the bid process on December 27, 2019. The earlier bid process for Phase II carried out by NHPC Limited in February 2019 was cancelled recently due to a lack of response from state discoms.
