Kamarajar Port handled a record of 67,561 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) at the container terminal in July 2026, surpassing the previous record of 66,470 TEUs achieved in May 2026. The port also recorded its best-ever rail performance by handling 31 rakes, transporting 2,650 units (4,600 TEUs) through its railway siding within the port during the month.
These achievements underscore Kamarajar Port’s ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency, expand multimodal logistics capabilities, and strengthen its role in supporting India’s growing maritime trade.
