Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has received a letter of intent (LoI) after emerging as the successful bidder under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route, for the establishment of the inter-state transmission system (ISTS) project titled “Installation of 2 Nos. of Synchronous Condenser (SynCon) Units at 765/400/220 kV Fatehgarh-II Pooling Station”. The project will be implemented on a build, own, operate and transfer basis.
The project marks India’s first ISTS project awarded through the TBCB route exclusively for the installation of synchronous condensers. It involves the installation and commissioning of two synchronous condenser units at the Fatehgarh-II pooling station, along with associated bays.
