The Surat International Airport in Gujarat commissioned its newly built parallel taxi track (PTT) and five new aircraft parking bays on May 14, 2026. The arrival of the first scheduled flight marked the inaugural use of the PTT at the airport. The new infrastructure is expected to reduce runway occupancy time, facilitate smoother ground movement and enhance the airport’s overall operational capacity.
