Gemtek and Dixon deepen strategic collaboration through JV in India to serve AI and data centre segments

Gemtek Technology and Dixon Technologies (India) are advancing their strategic collaboration through their joint venture in India, expanding manufacturing and market opportunities for optical transceivers, bidirectional optical sub-assemblies (BOSA) and other high-speed optical connectivity solutions.

The partnership combines Gemtek’s expertise in optical communications, photonic integration and product development with Dixon’s manufacturing scale, supply chain capabilities and market presence in India, creating a platform to serve broadband, telecom, cloud, data centre and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure markets in India and globally.

Gemtek is expanding its optical connectivity portfolio with solutions spanning 1 gigabit per second (G) to 1.6 terabits per second (T), and is advancing its roadmap towards 800G, 1.6T and next-generation photonic integration technologies to address growing demand for high-bandwidth connectivity driven by AI, cloud and data centre infrastructure.

The collaboration supports India’s growing focus on local manufacturing of optical transceivers and BOSA, combining Gemtek’s technology expertise with Dixon’s local manufacturing capabilities to enable scalable production in India while strengthening geographic diversification and overall supply chain resilience.
