The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) conducted a safety inspection on the 24 km (267.85 km to 291.2 km) long Malhargarh-Mandsaur section including Pipaliya station of the Nimach-Ratlam Railway Line Doubling Project. Besides, speed trials were conducted on the stretch at the speed of 120 kmph.
The project involves doubling of the 133 km long Nimach-Ratlam railway line in Madhya Pradesh with an investment of Rs 10.95 billion. It was sanctioned in the Railway Budget 2018-19.
