BEML Limited (formerly Bharat Earth Movers Limited) has approved an investment of Rs 15 billion for its greenfield rail manufacturing facility, BRAHMA, at Umariya, near Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The project is scheduled to be completed in a phase-wise manner in five years. The mode of financing will be through long-term debt.
