The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved three railway projects worth Rs 185.09 billion. These are:
- Kasara-Manmad Third and Fourth Rail Line Project: It involves laying the third and fourth rail line from Kasara to Manmad in Maharashtra.
- Delhi-Ambala Third and Fourth Rail Line Project: It involves laying the third and fourth rail line from Delhi to Ambala in Delhi and Punjab.
- Hosapete-Ballari Third and Fourth Rail Line Project: It involves laying the third and fourth rail line from Hosapete to Ballari in Karnataka.
