The construction work on the Belasis Cable Stayed Bridge Reconstruction Project is likely to be completed by end December 2025.
Currently, the soil testing, foundation work, and pillar construction for the bridge have been completed, and obstructing structures have been removed. A total of 40 girders are to be erected for the eastern approach road. Four have already been installed. The Western Railway completed installing 12 girders by August 10, 2025 within the railway portion. Girder bracing, bridge deck surface construction, and slab casting are expected to be completed by September 14, 2025.
The project involves the reconstruction of 0.38 km long Belasis cable-stayed bridge in Maharashtra at an estimated cost of Rs 1,100 million. Furthermore, it is being implemented by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM).
