The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is targeting to complete the installation of the remaining 77,000 water meters under the 24×7 Equitable Water Supply Project by September 2025. As of August 2025, of the total of 263,000 meters, around 185,000 meters (70 per cent) have been installed.
PMC intends to commission the project in phases. The project comprises of three components, namely, installation of water meters in households and societies, development of overhead storage tanks and the laying of water supply pipelines.
