Powerica Limited and K.P. Energy Limited have signed separate power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the development of 100 MW wind power projects in Gujarat. Both projects will supply electricity to GUVNL at a tariff of Rs 3.435 per unit for a period of 25 years.
Powerica’s project is scheduled to be completed within 24 months. K.P. Energy’s project has been awarded under GUVNL’s wind tender (Phase X). Power supply is scheduled to commence 24 months from the date of PPA execution. With this agreement, K.P. Energy’s cumulative independent power producer portfolio has crossed 250 MW.
