National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) conducted full-fledged trial runs on the entire 82 km Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project on June 22, 2025.
The trials commenced from Sarai Kale Khan station in Delhi to Modipuram station in Meerut. The hybrid signalling system and platform screen doors (PSDs), installed at every station were tested during the trials.
The project involves development of 82.15 km RRTS connecting Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh with an investment of Rs 302.74 billion.
