Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has successfully completed the installation of over 500,000 smart meters in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, under the Smart Meter National Programme (SMNP). The smart meters are certified and type-tested by the Bureau of Indian Standards as per IS 16444 guidelines. EESL’s unique pay-as-you-save model has been at the core of the successful implementation of the SMNP.
