Bondada Engineering Limited has received a letter of intent from Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) for a 20 MW/120 MWh vanadium redox flow battery energy storage system (VRFB BESS) in Vadodara, Gujarat.
The project will be developed at GIPCL’s 165 MW natural gas power plant complex and includes engineering, procurement and construction works, along with 10 years of operations and maintenance. Bondada has described the project as India’s largest grid-scale VRFB installation. The facilities are scheduled for completion within 18 months of receipt of the notice of award.
