Visakha Multipurpose Terminal has partnered with Hindalco Industries Limited to develop India’s first fully-automated, sustainable alumina handling facility at east quay (EQ)-07 berth of Visakhapatnam Port. The new facility will eliminate manual cargo handling and shift alumina transport from trucks to rail, enhancing both efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Designed for a capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum, it will ensure seamless, dust-free operations through complete mechanisation across unloading, storage, and ship-loading activities.
