About 21 per cent of construction work has been completed on Bandra Wastewater Treatment Facility (WwTF) under the Mumbai Sewage Disposal Stage II Project in Maharashtra. The work is likely to be completed by July 2027.
The scope of work includes construction of a WwTF having a capacity of 360 million litres per day (mld). Of this, 180 mld of wastewater will be tertiary treated using membrane bioreactor technology with operation and maintenance for a period of 15 years.
