State-of-the-art ship repair facility to be constructed at Vadinar, Gujarat

As per reports, Cochin Shipyard Limited and Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) are set to collaborate to construct a state-of-the-art ship repair facility capable of dry docking capesize vessels in Vadinar, Gujarat. The facility will be constructed at an estimated investment of Rs 16 billion.

DPA will construct a jetty at Vadinar, while Cochin Shipyard will provide a floating dry dock and oversee the operation and maintenance of the ship repair yard. DPA will also receive a fixed share of revenue from ship repairs, along with lease rentals from the project.
