The Union Government inaugurated the Kurkura-Kanaroan section of the Ranchi (Hatia)-Bondamunda rail line doubling project and laid the foundation stone for the Madhupur bye pass rail line project on September 16, 2024.
Madhupur bye pass rail line project involves construction of a 7.53 km long new bypass line at Madhupur in Bihar.
Ranchi (Hatia)-Bondamunda rail line doubling project involves doubling of 158.5 km long Ranchi (Hatia)-Bondamunda railway line at a cost of Rs 32.199 billion. It will augment the line capacity of the section and serve the freight traffic needs of the upcoming super thermal power plant at Barch and other thermal power plants like Katni and Baruni.
