The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has showcased the Meerut metro train sets at the Duhai depot on September 7, 2024, marking a significant milestone for the Meerut metro rail project.
Additionally, the tunnelling works have been completed, and track laying works are currently underway for the project.
Meerut metro rail spans across 23 km that includes 18 km of elevated and 5 km of underground stretches. It has 13 stations in total. These are Meerut south, Partapur, Rithani, Shatabdi Nagar, Brahmpuri, Meerut Central, Bhainsali, Begumpul, MES Colony, Daurli, Meerut North, Modipuram and Modipuram depot. Nine stations are elevated, three are underground and one is at grade station.
