The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is seeking special permission to award road projects following a significant slowdown in awards since November 2023, due to the absence of a replacement for the Bharatmala Pariyojana scheme. Only minimal projects were awarded in the first quarter of the 2024-25.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for two greenfield access-controlled highways in Jharkhand under the hybrid annuity model. The first project involves a 30.34 km stretch from Kereya to Keyondpani with an investment of Rs 9.78 billion, while the second covers 43.7 km from Keyondpani to Latra with an investment of Rs 9.18 billion. Both projects are part of NH 143D in Jharkhand.
