In a notable development, the Union Government has inaugurated Indraprastha Gas Limited’s (IGL) PNG connections in 41 villages of Delhi under Dilli Gramodaya Abhiyan. The initiative involved laying around 100 km pipeline network entailing an investment of Rs 200 million. The Dilli Gramodaya Abhiyan, launched in 2023, is aimed at enhancing essential infrastructure in the urbanised villages of Delhi. IGL, established in 1998, is an Indian natural gas distribution company that supplies natural gas for cooking and vehicular fuel. The company primarily operates in the Delhi-national capital region and its neighbouring cities.
