Tunnelling work has been completed on the Janakpuri West-Krishna Park (Extension) section under the Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Corridor of Delhi Metro Phase IV. Moreover, track-laying work is under way and system equipment contractors have been mobilised in the section. The section is likely to become operational by July 2024. Over 45 per cent of work has been completed on three priority corridors of the project. The project involves the development of a 103.93 km long metro rail network comprising six corridors at an investment of Rs 468 billion. The three corridors to be developed on a priority basis are Maujpur-Mukundpur (12.31 km), Janakpuri West-RK Ashram (29.26 km) and Aerocity-Tughlakabad (23.62 km).
