About 3,000 acres of land has been identified for acquisition across seven villages for the New Pune (Purandar) International Greenfield Airport Project. The project involves development of a greenfield airport at Purandar in Pune district of Maharashtra. The villages include Pargaon, Khanwadi, Munjwadi, Ekhatpur, Kumbharvalan, Vanpuri and Udachiwadi. Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) is likely to issue the land acquisition notification soon. It is likely to be implemented on a public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
