JSW Infrastructure has announced that it will spend Rs 60 to 70 billion to increase its annual cargo handling capacity by more than 40 per cent to 250 million tonnes (mt) in the next 3-4 years. The investment will focus on two greenfield port projects in Karnataka and Odisha as well as the expansion of a cargo terminal. The company’s consolidated net profit more than doubled year-on-year to Rs 2.51 billion during the October to December 2023 period, as a result of increased cargo volumes and higher tariffs. Also, its revenue from operations stood at Rs 9.4 billion during the same period.
