IR to increase coach production by 11 per cent during 2024-25

IR is expected to increase its coach production by 11 per cent during 2024-25. According to the coach production programme of IR, a total of 7,784 has been set as manufacturing target for 2024-25 which includes production of Vande metro, regional metro and mini version of the Vande Bharat Express trains. In addition to this, the coach production units are likely to increase the production of non-air-conditioned coaches for regional metro.
