Caterpillar launches its next-generation 20 tonne excavator portfolio

Caterpillar has launched two of its next-generation excavators – Cat 320D3 and Cat 323D3 – manufactured at its plant in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. These 20 tonne size class excavators offer up to 7 per cent more hydraulic power, 15 per cent greater productivity, 15 per cent lower fuel consumption and 5 per cent lower maintenance costs.

In line with Caterpillar’s commitment towards ushering in the “Age of Smart Iron” and making the best use of technology, the newly launched Cat 320D3 and Cat 323D3 excavators have been equipped with the Cat Product Link™ telematics system. Cat Product Link is a robust cellular-based asset monitoring solution which enables powerful tools to transform data from an entire fleet into essential information required to boost productivity, reduce costs and manage risks. The advanced features have been combined with several other benefits such as extended warranty, financing options, rental solutions, customer service agreements and dealer product support capability.
