Punjab approves policy for laying of gas pipelines across the state

The Punjab cabinet on March 21, 2018 approved the policy guidelines to facilitate the laying of gas pipelines across the state. The policy has been drafted after consulting Gujarat’s policy as suggested by the PNGRB. The policy contains fresh guidelines for grant of permission, levy of restoration charges and determination of compensation for right of way for laying the city gas distribution (CGD) network on land belonging to state government departments, urban local bodies or state authorities.
