GENMA delivers three units of MHCs to Paradip port

GENMA recently delivered three units of mobile harbour cranes (MHCs) to Paradip port in India from Rugao port in Jiangsu, China. The port is now equipped with 15 berths, three single-point moorings, one roll on, roll off jetty, and a well-maintained approach and entrance channel that has a minimum depth of 17.1 metres to handle a wide range of vessels up to a maximum overall length of 260 metres. The three machines will be the main members of the port machine fleet.

These three units of MHCs are second-generation products and their structure has been updated from an H-shaped steel structure to a polygonal tower structure with anti-twist performance. These cranes offer several additional benefits such as full-rotation chassis, less mobile space and more flexibility. The octahedral power structure provides more stability especially during grab operations. Further, the automatic centring and self-aligning function of the spreader results in higher efficiency and easier operations. Also, the installed self-levelling system makes automatic levelling of the entire machine possible. The power room and engine room are equipped with automatic fire suppression systems, thereby enhancing safety.

GENMA is a part of Rainbow Heavy Industries and mainly provides material handling solutions. The company is also expanding its bulk handling business. The main products provided by GENMA include mobile harbour cranes, pneumatic ship unloaders, bridge-type grab ship unloaders, scraper ship unloaders, chain bucket ship unloaders, mobile ship loaders, environmental hoppers, etc.
